It is that wonderful time of year! Helen Day Art Center will again dedicate the month of December to honoring and celebrating our valued members in the annual Members’ Art Show & Sale. Simultaneously, we will present the Festival of Trees & Light ornament sale.

This year, in consideration of Covid-19-related restrictions, the Members’ Art Show & Sale and the Festival of Trees & Light ornament sale will be held entirely online. All submissions can be completed using our online submission process (guidelines below). Once artwork images have been received and all ornaments delivered to the Art Center, the entire collection will be available for online viewing and purchase!

As is the tradition, the annual Members’ Art Show is unjuried and all mediums are welcomed. This also applies to Artisans for their ornaments. For art enthusiasts and holiday gift buyers, this is a wonderful opportunity to leisurely peruse the online exhibit and to arrange for curbside pick up of any purchased item.

If you would you like to have your artwork or ornaments included in this year’s Members’ Art Show and Sale, please follow the online submission guidelines below:

  • We are requesting all participants in the Members’ Art Show to have current membership standing with Helen Day Art Center (through 2021). Please visit our website or click on the membership link below to join or renew.

  • Ornament artisans do not need to be members of Helen Day Art Center but are encouraged to join.

  • We accept submissions of all mediums for art and ornaments including 2D and 3D work

Requirements for Member Art submissions
  • Each Member may submit up to 2 pieces. Diptychs and Triptychs may not be submitted as single pieces.

  • All member artwork items must be photographed in full color using high resolution images (300dpi). Pleases include any framing in images.

  • Please submit form below and email images (labeled with title of artwork and artist) to design@helenday.com

Requirements for Ornament Artisans
  • After completion of the online submission form, we ask each artisan to please bring ornaments to HDAC so we may photograph them here for consistency and website ready images. Artisans do not need to photograph  ornaments.

  • Please submit completed form online & also arrange for drop off of ornaments by contacting Alexa at gallery@helenday.com or Annie at programs@helenday.com.

  • To keep the show fresh, we ask for artwork that has been completed within the last two years.

  • All artwork and ornament sales will be based upon a commission of 75% for participants and 25% for Helen Day Art Center.

  • Not a member yet? Please click here to renew or obtain a membership. Join the HDAC community today and immediately benefit by participating in this year’s Members’ Art Show Sale and Festival of Trees & Light Ornament Sale.

  • As all sales will be facilitated from HDAC, we are asking each artisan to please provide packaging for all ornaments. Purchased ornaments will be available for pick up in the Gallery or by arrangement on the front porch of Helen Day Art Center.
